Roadside Logbook export

What to do when you come across a driver who uses Logmate

Updated over a week ago

This switch to technology is not only great for drivers and transport operators but also assists enforcement officers by simplifying the process of inspecting logbooks.

In order to take a copy of a Drivers logbook who is using Logmate, just follow these simples steps:

Step One: Ask the driver to open and login to the Logmate App. You should be on the Drivers Dashboard.

Step Two: Click on the side menu and then on the Enforcement Tab.

Step Three: Here you can select all the shifts that you would like to export a copy of. After you are satisfied with your selection click on the blue ‘Next’ button.

Here you will need to enter your CVIU number and email address and finally press ‘Submit’.

Good Mobile Data Coverage

If you are in an area with good mobile data coverage you will be able to access the drivers’ logbook records you selected immediately. If you don’t have mobile data coverage at the time of export please go to our article "Download An Exported Digital Logbook"

You will receive an email similar to the one below. By clicking on Download Now you will be taken to the Enforcement Admin where you can download a PDF copy of the selected logbook records.

Note: If you do not have good mobile coverage when attempting to export roadside please ensure you note down the the Export Token and Drivers Licence Number. If you get a screen different to the one above please read our article "Download An Exported Digital Logbook" to learn what to do next.
