Diesel and heavy vehicles (over 3.5 tonnes) are legally required to record odometer readings. For all other vehicles, it is optional.
The Logmate app does not enforce this — it is your responsibility to record odometer readings if required.
Setting Odometer As Required
You can set the odometer as required or optional on any vehicle, at any time via the Vehicle Edit screen:
Required — turn on the Odometer toggle. The app will prompt you for odometer readings during logbook entries.
Optional — leave the toggle off (you can still enter a value if you choose)
The Odometer toggle applies to any vehicle type — it is not specific to diesel or heavy vehicles.
