Logmate requires your phone to use the correct timezone and time format. Incorrect settings can cause wrong times on your logbook entries.

Update on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap General.

  3. Tap Date & Time.

  4. Turn on Set Automatically.

  5. Check that the timezone shows Auckland, New Zealand.

  6. Turn on 24-Hour Time.

Update on Android

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap System (or General Management).

  3. Tap Date & Time.

  4. Turn on Automatic date & time.

  5. Turn on Automatic time zone.

  6. Check that the timezone shows Pacific/Auckland or Auckland, New Zealand.

  7. Turn on Use 24-hour format.

The exact menu names may vary by phone brand (Samsung, Google, Xiaomi, etc.).

Why does this matter?

Logmate records all times in Pacific/Auckland timezone. If your phone is set to a different timezone, entry times may appear wrong. This can cause:

  • Incorrect start and end times on your entries

  • Wrong rest calculations between shifts

  • Confusion when reviewing your logbook

After updating

Open the Mobile App. Your future entries will use the correct time. Past entries are not changed β€” they were recorded with the time your phone showed at the time.
