How Enforcement Officers request and receive driver work-time records at roadside.
Overview
Drivers can export their logbook records to an Enforcement Officer using the Logmate Mobile App. The officer receives the records by email. If the driver has no internet connection, the Mobile App generates an access token instead.
Step 1: Driver opens Enforcement Export
The driver opens the Mobile App.
The driver taps Menu.
The driver taps Enforcement Export.
The Enforcement Export page shows all available Work Shifts with checkboxes.
Step 2: Driver selects shifts
The driver taps each shift to include in the export.
A green checkbox appears on selected shifts.
The driver taps NEXT.
Shifts are listed with the most recent first. The driver can long-press a shift to view its details before selecting.
Step 3: Officer enters their details
The Officer details form has two fields:
CVIU # — The officer's CVIU or Police identification number (required)
Email — The officer's email address (required)
Email addresses are restricted to NZ Police and NZTA domains:
police.govt.nznzta.govt.nz
Other email domains are not accepted.
The driver taps SUBMIT to send the export.
Step 4: Export complete (online)
When the driver has an internet connection, the records are sent by email. The export complete screen shows:
Driver name and licence number — confirms the driver's identity
Export token — a backup token to download the records from admins.logmate.co.nz if email delivery fails (valid for 30 days)
Recipient email and officer ID — confirms where the records were sent
Offline export (no internet)
If the driver has no internet connection, the Mobile App generates an access token instead of sending an email.
The officer can use the access token to download the driver's logbook from admins.logmate.co.nz. The token is valid for 30 days.
