How Logmate stores and protects your data.

How Logmate stores and protects your data.

Where is my data stored?

Logmate stores data on secure servers in the Australia/New Zealand region. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

The Mobile App also stores your recent shifts on your phone. This allows you to view past shifts when you have no internet connection.

How long is my data kept?

Logmate keeps your work-time records for 2 years (legal minimum is 12 months).

When you close your account, your data is retained for the same period before it is removed.

Who can see my data?

Who

What they can see

You (the driver)

All your own shifts, entries, and account details

Your approved TSL Holders

Your locked Work Shifts

Enforcement Officers

Shifts you choose to export during a roadside inspection

Logmate support team

Account and logbook data when you contact support

No one else can access your data. Your logbook data is never sold or shared with third parties.

How does sharing work?

Your approved TSL Holders receive copies of your locked shifts automatically when you lock them. Enforcement Officers can only view records you export to them from the Mobile App. See How Are Drivers and Operators Related? and Requesting Driver Work-Time Records for details.

What emails does Logmate send?

Logmate sends emails from help@logmate.co.nz for password resets, account notifications, and support replies. See I'm Not Receiving Emails if you are not getting these.
