Can Logbook Entries Be Deleted?

No. Logbook entries cannot be deleted.

Updated today

No. Logbook entries cannot be deleted.

Why not?

Your logbook is a legal record of your work-time. Deleting entries would break the audit trail. NZ regulations require a complete and accurate record.

Logmate is designed so that your logbook history is always preserved.

Can I fix mistakes?

Yes β€” but only in active (not locked) shifts. When you edit an entry, the original value is kept and your change is recorded as a modification. Anyone reviewing your logbook can see both. See Edit Logbook Entries and What Are Modifications? for details.

What about locked shifts?

Once you lock a shift, it becomes a permanent record. You cannot edit, change, or delete any entries. Locked shifts are supplied to your approved TSL Holders and become the official record of your work-time.

Always check your entries before locking. See End and Lock Your Shift.
