The 30-minute rule

A rest break must be at least 30 minutes to count as a valid rest break.

Break duration

How it counts

30 minutes or more

Valid rest break. Does not count as work-time. Resets your continuous work timer.

Less than 30 minutes

Counts as work-time. Does not reset your continuous work timer.

Break countdown

While you are on break, the Mobile App shows your break status:

Status

Colour

Meaning

RESUME WORK IN

Orange

Your break is under 30 minutes. Countdown shows time until a valid rest.

GOOD TO WORK AGAIN

Green

Your break has reached 30 minutes. Your continuous work timer is reset.

Resume work after a break

Tap DRIVE or OTHER DUTIES to resume work. There is no separate "end break" button. Starting a new entry ends the break.

Break before ending a shift

If Break is your last entry before you end the shift, the break time counts as off-duty time. Your rest period starts from when the break began, not when you tapped END SHIFT.
